Why Join
Membership in Starved Rock Runners, Ltd means that you will be able to meet other runners of various abilities and backgrounds. Our club welcomes runners and joggers of all abilities and ages. Starved Rock Runners has a membership of approximately 300, with active members from ages 6 to 80.
By joining our club you are sure to get to know runners with interests and abilities similar to your own. Whether you are a "back of the packer" or compete with runners at a sub 5 minute per mile pace, there are other Starved Rock Runners going your speed. And you will be assured of accurate courses and times thanks to our desire to give meaningful results that you can be confident of
We have a race circuit consisting of between 15 and 25 races (number of races may vary from year to year). Any member who runs the minimum number of races (5 to 9 depending on the total number of races in the circuit) receives an award for his or her accomplishment. Every runner 13 and under receives special recognition ribbons for each circuit race completed, regardless of finish time or place
The club is affiliated with USA Track & Field and Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) and brings the expertise and benefits of the world's largest running organization to our members.
